There is always a reason why we have to wait.
If God gave us everything when we wanted it, I’m sure that 9 times out of 10 it would be the wrong time.
When God makes us wait, it’s for a reason. And whilst we are waiting, we need to trust Him and be confident that He knows best.
We don’t always get to know why we have to wait, yet other times it becomes very clear.
We can read about people in the Bible who had to wait, and that seems easy to us, because we get to read the end of the story quite quickly. But it was hard for them also…
Joseph had to wait for his God-promised destiny to be fulfilled.
Moses had to wait for what had been promised to him and God’s people.
Esther had to wait for the right time to save the nation.
Joseph wasn’t ready to be Prime Minister, he had to go through the PIT (person in training) experience first.
Moses could have done it in 40 days, but he had to wait 40 years due to people’s bad attitudes and lack of faith.
Esther could have done it right away, but ‘blown’ the whole thing. She had to fast and pray first.
Whatever you’re waiting for today and why ever you’re waiting for it, know this…
If God has promised, it will happen.
Keep a good heart and a great attitude.
Learn what you need to, and learn it quickly.
Keep trusting Him through it…
Hebrews 6:12 (NIV)
‘We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.’
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
