A packet of seeds is both seemingly small and insignificant. However, they are usually attractive enough to at least make you look at the picture on the front with admiration at the finished product.
You may of course be tempted to keep the packet of seeds in your pocket and pull them out from time to time for others to see.
You may want to hold onto them in your pocket or put them in a safe place so that they won’t get lost.
You may even dream every night of the beautiful flowers that will be one day yours from the packet of seeds that are rattling around in their tiny home.
Holding onto the attractive packet and looking at the pretty picture often seems to be the easier option than actually sowing the seeds and waiting patiently for the harvest.
How many of us today have the potential to reap, were it not for the resistance to sow?
It takes effort to sow.
It takes courage to sow.
It takes patience to sow.
It takes initial sacrifice to sow.
It takes faith to sow.
But one thing is for sure, you will never reap until you sow.
You can stare at that packet of seeds all day and never see it multiply and produce the results that it promised.
Holding those seeds in your hand and praying over them will never produce a harvest either.
What are you waiting for today? A harvest?
Then ask yourself a simple question…am I a sower?
Galatians 6:7 ‘Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.’
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
