There is a wonderful story in the Bible, in Acts chapter 8 about a man called Philip who was minding his own business when God called him to go out of his way to help someone else.
When you read the story, you will notice that the man that needed help that day was a very important, wealthy man who needed Christ.
We are all busy people. We have things to do and places to go. We have people to see and business to attend to. In your busy-ness, don’t be too busy to hear from God. He may need you that day, to do something very special for him.
We should be open every day, that no matter what we have planned, we are not too busy for God to reach us, in order that we can reach someone else.
You may say “but what about me? I’m supposed to be doing this and that.” I’ve learnt many things in my Christian life. One of the most important things is that when you put God first and His work, He’ll get you where you need to be.
This story finishes with after Philip helping the man and leading him to Jesus, Philip ‘gets to where he needs to be’ supernaturally.
Put God first, He’ll sort your business.
Look after His House, He’ll look after yours.
‘SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE ADDED UNTO YOU. ‘ (Matthew 6 v 33)
Yes, all your ‘everything else’s’ will supernaturally fall into place, when you put God first.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
