We talked a few days ago about learning through hard times.
I want to continue that thought today with this…
The hard way will often be your best friend.
Life is all about learning and I’m glad I went through a lot of ‘stuff’, many years ago.
I know I wouldn’t be the person I am today, if it wasn’t for those difficult times.
Hard times can often be our best times, because they shape us.
The times when we had no money were hard times, but they taught me so much. They taught me to trust God, because He will never let me down.
Whatever hard time you are going through today, it may become your best friend. It may help you to become the person you need to be.
I say ‘may’ because that’s up to you.
What is a best friend?
Someone who won’t let you down.
Someone who will tell you as it is.
Someone who wants to get the best out of you.
Someone who will make you see yourself as you really are.
And those are what hard times can actually do for you.
James 1:2-4 says that we should ‘count it pure joy when we face trials of many kinds, because it will produce something in us.’
Pure joy? Is he joking?
No, he knew the secret of the trial and that it is actually for your good.
Let something great be produced out of your trials today.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
