Just over 12 months ago, I was with my family visiting some friends of ours in Seattle, USA.
During our stay there, a couple of my friends took me to see the Seattle Seahawks play at their 80,000 seater stadium. I’d only ever watched American Football once up until this point, so I was no expert in the sport…
We arrived at the game and headed to the turnstiles to collect an envelope that had our tickets in. Now, my friends knew some of the coaching staff at the club, and so had managed to secure some tickets that enabled us to watch the game from the VIP Lounge.
On that afternoon, I sat thinking about how I’d found myself in this position… I didn’t really know what was going on, I was unfamiliar with the rules of the game – in reality, I had no right to be there.
I’ve heard it said many times that life is not about what you know, but it’s about who you know. And what got me to that place on that day was not based on the information I’d obtained, but rather the relationships that I had.
I want to ask you a question today: do you know Jesus? That’s what life is truly all about…relationship with Him. Because when you know Jesus, He’ll take you places in life that you don’t deserve to be…And He’ll do for you what you cannot do for yourself.
Life with Jesus is the best kind of life. You can experience this today by simply inviting Him into your heart, and watch your life go to heights that you could’ve never dreamt.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
