If your household or family is anything like mine, Christmas is a time of asking, ‘what would you like?’
Maybe like us, it’s when you sit down to write a letter to Santa with your children or when you are out shopping and you ask your wife, “is there anything you’d like for Christmas?”
Depending on the answers given, they’ll usually have an affect on the end result.
Parents, don’t you just love it when your children ask for something little and easy, but then quickly followed by biggest the request of the year…either way over budget or nowhere to be found? The highs and lows of #parentlife.
We love to give gifts that make people happy and there’s nothing more fulfilling for me than to see my family smiling because I got them what they wanted.
So, let’s be reminded today that our Heavenly Father, even more-so, longs to give us our heart’s desires and I love the assurance and power in this Bible verse:
“And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.”
1 John 5:14-15 NLT
Today, remember these three things:
God hears our prayers – so talk to him regularly.
God answers our prayers – so have faith in him to give you what you need.
God loves us more than we could ever imagine – so He wants to answer our prayers, all we need to do is just keep talking with Him.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
