I’d like to challenge you today to have a worshipping heart.
I hope you wouldn’t say “why?”
But if you do, here are a few reasons this week for you to look at.
We should worship because we are…THANKFUL.
Thankful for all that God has done for us, thankful for dying for MY sins, thankful for giving me new hope and purpose.
Thankful for His peace and joy and love in my life. The list is endless.
If we only worshipped when we felt like it, we may not do it every day.
Yet, worship should be a daily good habit like showering, or cleaning my teeth. I may not want to do it, but I should, because it’s good for me.
When someone prepares a really good dinner for me, I’m thankful because I appreciate the time and effort and thought and money that went into making it special.
How much more should I be thankful to God for all the good things He has prepared for me?
When someone does something special and unexpected for me, I remember it for a long time for those very reasons.
How much more should I keep remembering what Jesus has done for me?
I may have a lot today, or I may have little. There is always someone not as blessed as you. Be thankful.
My destination, if I am a child of God, is Heaven. Let’s be eternally thankful for that.
There are plenty of people in the local cemetery who would like the chance to be thankful today.
The difference is, you do have the opportunity.
Make it count.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
