I want to encourage you this weekend to sow a seed.
A farmer will never produce a crop without first sowing a seed.
You may say “but I have a need myself”… perfect.
The farmer has need of a crop and that’s why he sows.
Why is it, that the human heart says “I have a need, so I’ll keep my seed?” – that’s what the enemy wants you to think, to stop you getting blessed.
Change your thinking. Realise that when you have a need, you sow a seed.
And even if you don’t have a need, you should be a sower anyway.
The Bible is full of great reminders…
A generous man will prosper, when you refresh others, YOU will be refreshed. (Proverbs 11 v 25)
When you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly. But when you sow generously, YOU will reap generously. (2 Corinthians 9 v 6)
For with the measure YOU use, it will be measured back to you. (Luke 6 v 38)
Even if you have no money whatsoever, you can sow time or friendship or a cup of tea and a listening ear.
I challenge you to be a sower this weekend.
It’s a win-win situation :)
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
