You have a choice of two scenarios.

Either, you own a business and you get an enormous tax bill. Or you own a business and you get a tiny tax bill.

You would I’m guessing go for the tiny tax bill.

Sorry, I forgot to mention the first company is a world wide incredibly successful business, creating so much money you can’t possibly spend it all hence the enormous tax bill. The second business is a local failing business and about to go insolvent and doesn’t even have the funds to pay the tiny tax bill.

I’m guessing you’ve changed your mind.

This is a great picture of life – where the tax bill represents trials, needs and doing things we generally don’t want to do. We don’t like it, so we naturally want to minimise it. The problem is: the smaller your needs, the smaller the possibilities. Less pain – less gain.

It’s easy to be jealous of the success in others and think it’s not fair that they seem to get all the luck but we don’t see the tax bills they have been prepared to pay!

It’s like being jealous of other people’s physique, but we’re never prepared to go to the gym ourselves.

The local church is the gym of God’s choice. It’s very costly but the results are amazing! We have been created, designed and chosen to do great things. If only we would trust God and allow Him to change our thinking when it comes to doing anything we don’t want to do in the natural.

So again, you have a choice of two scenarios.

Either, you own your life and get stuck in, go through tests and trials, but it’s fulfilling, rewarding and awesome, Or you own a life, avoid obstacles or doing anything you don’t want to do, but it’s small, empty and void of meaning.

You would, I’m guessing, go for the awesome life!
