We all like to wear different shoes – some of us live in training shoes, and some of us would not be seen dead without our heels on.
Whatever your taste in shoes is, whether you would consider them to be boring or exciting, whether you wear expensive or cheap, the Bible tells us to wear shoes that carry the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6 tells us to have our feet ready to take peace wherever we go.
We are meant to be peacemakers and whatever situation you may be in or whatever you may face today, I would encourage you to wear shoes of peace. The world and those you meet today need God’s peace, and you are that person to take it.
Today, I walked around London in a pair of broken shoes! They weren’t broken when I left home, but half way into my day trip, they completely broke.
The rest of my day was spent wearing those shoes. I had to keep going.
Whatever life has in store for you today, you can do it. Wear those peace shoes today – that’s God’s purpose for you.
“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.” (Isaiah 52 v 7).
Be that person today and wear those beautiful shoes.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
