One thing that I’m sure we’ve all faced at some point in our lives is fear. Fear is a very real emotion, however, have you ever considered what fear really is?
I read a quote this week that totally changed my perspective on this emotion that we face.
It said, ‘fear is faith in the enemy’.
Now that really got my attention, because I realised that the time I spend in fear, is actually time spent believing that the enemy has power over my life.
There’s a verse in the Bible found in 1 John 4:18, and it says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear…”
The phrase ‘perfect love’ here is speaking of Jesus. You see, love is not just something that Jesus does, it’s who He is. And in Him you can find freedom from fear.
Whatever you’re faced with today, or this week, choose not to put your faith in the enemy, who is the source of fear, but make a decision to put your faith in Jesus, the One who drives out all fear.
And know that because God is for you, no one or no thing can be against you.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
