Too many of us, me included at times, look around at our circumstances and think “how on earth can this be any different? Can I survive? Will I make it out alive?”
When we think thoughts like that, we are allowing already heavy circumstances, to become even heavier and very soon we will be swamped by them.
How many times have you let your thoughts run riot in your mind, so that by the time you have finished thinking, you are actually worse? When you think about it, nothing has changed, yet your thinking has made everything seem far worse.
My bible tells me to take my eyes off my circumstances and to put them onto Jesus. Start reaching for what you are believing for. You may not see it right now, but start to speak it into action. Words are powerful, they will change your thinking and your situation.
Don’t look down on your circumstances, don’t look around at them either.
Lift your eyes up and off them and onto the one who is able – JESUS.
Psalm 121. I will lift up mine eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help comes from the LORD the Maker of Heaven and earth.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
