Matthew (not his real name) had been married for five years when his marriage began to struggle.
He was a committed Christian and so he took his concerns to the Lord and asked him to supernaturally infiltrate his circumstances.
While searching the scriptures, Matthew was reminded of how God had given His life for him even when he didn’t deserve it. He knew God was asking him to love his wife in the same way he was loved by God – unconditionally and completely.
Matthew asked God to allow him to see his wife through the eyes of Jesus and after his time of praying, he started to notice a change. His wife was the same, his marriage was the same, but he was different. God’s voice had changed him. He saw his wife in a brand new way. 35 years later, this couple testified to the changing power of God’s word.
Often when things in our lives start to change for the better, we attribute the transformation to something other than God’s voice, as we assume that all our hard work has paid off, yet in reality, when we see things changing, we should consider that God has been moving on it all along.
If you’ve written off your situation, then start to pick up the pieces in prayer and allow God to have the final say in the matter. You never know, you may be surprised at the outcome.
One word from God can change your life forever.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
