Fresh Hope – 7th August 2017

Each of us has a certain level of demand on our lives. Everyday, there are many different things wanting to pull on our time, our energy and our resources, leaving us to decide what to say yes to and what to say no to.

There is a tendency in many of us to be people pleasers, never wanting to turn down an opportunity, always trying to avoid saying ‘no’ at whatever the cost.

However, there comes a time in your life when you must decide if you are going to be managed by your opportunities or by your priorities.

There will be many good opportunities that will come your way in life that will prove very tempting. You can either chase after those or decide to give first place to what matters most.

Take some time today to establish what your priorities are and devote the majority of your time, energy and resources to these… and when you do so, I do believe that the quality of your life will go to another level.

Understand that your ‘yes’ is only as powerful as your ‘no’. If you find yourself saying yes to every opportunity and request, your yes loses value. But if you carry the ability to say no, when you do say yes, people will have a far greater appreciation for it.

Decide today, am I going to be a person dictated by opportunity or priority… the choice is yours.
