Romans 4:19-21 Without weakening in his faith, Abraham faced the fact that his body was as good as dead – since he was about a hundred years old – and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
God has the power to pull off whatever He has promised you and a whole lot more. No sweat.
The question is: are you living a fully persuaded life or a fully defeated one?
Are you waking to the news flash, playing inside of your head, that this is never going to happen for me or are you waking up to live fully persuaded that God has the power to do it?
I love the story of this old couple Abraham and Sarah, who still believed the promise of God for their lives way into their nineties; the thing that impresses me about Abraham is that it says ‘he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead, YET, he did not waver through unbelief.’
Many peoples faith is actually not real faith, it’s just a denial that anything is wrong.
There is a difference.
God cannot fix what you cannot face.
Denial is a game of pretence. It pretends that you are well when you are actually dying, but faith says, ‘I’m actually dying, therefore I need God to make me well.’
God is not going to be surprised by your admittance that things aren’t good…He knew it long before you did.
Is it time for you to get honest with yourself and God today? When you do, it will put you on the road to the very breakthrough that you need.
Be honest about the way things are for you today.
Now…be fully persuaded that God can change them.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
