Recently, we had the largest amount of snow I can remember since I was about 8 years old. For my boys, it was lovely, and maybe for me too! But for a lot of people, it was a big problem.
Clearing the snow from the driveway was one of the hardest tasks I’ve had to do in a long time.
Mainly, this was due to the snow being trampled down and driven on. It was no longer light, fluffy and easy to remove but hard, compacted and turning into ice.
This made me think that our lives can sometimes be like my drive and this snow.
We all experience troubles and issues that can come upon us unannounced, but if we don’t deal with them straight away, they can become compacted and pressed down making them hard to remove. They can stick to us and at worst, make our lives and hearts hardened to the people around us.
I want to encourage you today to step out and begin to move those issues that are resting on your life before they become a stronghold.
Unlike the snow-fall we experienced recently, we will face struggles and issues almost on a daily basis, so let us deal with them quickly.
The bible says to ‘cast all your cares upon Him (Jesus), for He cares for you.’
Today, let us do just that. Shovel away!
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
