I love the story of Esther in the Bible. A real story of rags to riches, peasant to palace. A young girl who was handpicked by a King to be his Queen.
I’m sure her days were full of pampering, servants, new outfits and beauty treatments. Sounds ideal and maybe every woman’s dream..
However, God had higher plans for her.
He had chosen her “for such a time as this”.
In fact the verse in Esther 4 vs 14 tells us “…but who knows, that you have come to royal position for such a time as this.”
What I love is this: she was in the royal position, yet she still chose to do God’s will.
I’m sure there are times when we all feel like staying within the comfort zone, when in fact God is calling us to a far higher purpose.
She could have stayed with her royal gorgeous lifestyle and yet she chose to risk her own life in order to save others.
She chose to ditch the pampering for the purpose.
God doesn’t want you to live a comfortable life, He has called you to live a life ‘on purpose’.
As a new year approaches, find out what yours is and go all in.
And maybe like Esther, you’ll go down in history as a great DIFFERENCE MAKER.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
