In John chapter 4 in the Bible, we read about a woman who had been married to five different husbands and was now on her 6th relationship.
…Then she meets Jesus.
There are many people in our world who have no hope, you may be one of them.
You may feel that the situation you are in is hopeless.
You may have tried many different relationships to give you the hope that you need.
You may have walked many different paths to seek that hope.
So often, we look in the wrong places for that hope.
Jesus came to this woman whilst she was in a ‘hopeless’ situation and He gave her the hope that she so needed.
It doesn’t really matter what your situation is like today – there is always hope, because there is always Jesus.
Jeremiah 29 v 11 says this “for I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
When that word was spoken, the people were in slavery and in exile.
They were in a ‘hopeless’ situation, yet God brought to them a strong encouragement that gave them incredible hope.
Today, hope is not just there for those who already feel ‘hopeful’ (full of hope) , but for those who today feel ‘hopeless’ (empty of hope).
Let the God of all hope, Jesus himself, fill you with that very hope today.
Hope for your relationships, hope for your family, your finances, your business, your health, your seemingly impossible situation and hope for your future.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
