Isaiah 55 vs 8&9 tells me that God’s ways are higher than my ways and His thoughts are higher than my thoughts.
What does that mean? That there obviously has to be a higher way of thinking than mine!
A person can determine their own thoughts, their own actions and their own attitudes. We may not be able to control what happens to us, but we can control how we think and how we act and what our attitude is like.
If we don’t change our thinking and reach for higher things (that God intends for us) then we will never be any different to anyone else.
We can change our lives, by changing our thinking.
For instance, if I have an enormous bill that needs paying and I can’t pay it, my way of thinking will say “I’m sunk”.
Remember, God’s ways are higher than mine.. so instead, I think like this
“My God will supply all my needs.” (Philippians 4 vs 19).
If I have a child that is sick and I’m concerned about it, I may start to worry and fear the worst.
Remember, God’s ways are higher than mine.. so instead… I think like this:
“Forget not all His benefits, He forgives my sin and heals my diseases.” (Psalm 103 vs 2&3).
What if there is someone or a situation that is against me and I start to feel defeated by it and feel myself being taken down?
Remember, God’s ways are higher than mine…so instead, I think like this
“If God is for me, who can be against me?” (Romans 8 vs 31)
I challenge you today; start thinking higher thoughts, start thinking GOD thoughts.
It will really change your life.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
