Today, I want to encourage you to be happy.
I challenge you to STOP for a moment and be thankful.
If you say you don’t have anything to be thankful for, then I say you do, as you are in fact ALIVE.
We can all race through life and forget to stop and be thankful, take a moment to pause and count our blessings.
Even in the midst of a difficult time, there is always something to stop and be thankful for.
When you cultivate the art of being thankful, you will in fact be happy.
Proverbs 17 v 22 – “A cheerful heart is good medicine. But a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
I want my heart to be cheerful, what about you?
Proverbs 15 v 13 – “A happy heart makes the face cheerful.”
I want a cheerful face, what about you? We all know what people are like with miserable faces. They aren’t very attractive.
Nehemiah 8 v 10 – “The joy of the Lord is my strength.”
If we aren’t joyful, then we are miserable. And if we are miserable, we aren’t strong. I want to be strong, what about you?
We all live lives that need us to be strong every day, for many different reasons. That strength comes from God yes, but when I’m joyful in God, then I’ll get that strength.
Today, understand that joy will come from a habit of thankfulness and understand this: that very joy will bring you strength.
