You can be in the same room as someone and yet in a different place, on a different page.
Have you ever spoken to someone and felt they weren’t really listening?
In the New Testament, in Acts 2, it talks about being ‘altogether and in one place’.
There is power when people are together AND together. It’s called unity.
Don’t you love it when people at your dinner table are all engaged with one another and not on mobile devices?
Don’t you love it when you have a great conversation with a team and feel that everyone ‘gets it’?
There is tremendous power in that.
The Bible talks about unity in this way “where there is unity, my blessing will flow” (Psalm 133) God will pour out His blessing. I want to live under that!
A football team that has unity off the pitch, will play better on the pitch. A group of musicians who love and respect each other, will play better on stage.
When you have a sense of unity with people, you feel that you can take on the world and nothing or no one can touch you and you’ll enjoy the journey much more.
The best person you need to have unity with, is the one who created you, the one who has a perfect plan and purpose for your life – God Himself.
When you have peace and unity with God, you can rest assured that “if God is for me, who can be against me?” (Romans 8 v 31) And “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” (Phil 4 v 13)
You see, who you are in unity with is important. It’s a game changer.
Make sure today that you are in unity with the right people, make sure that when you’re with them, you’re present and not just present and most of all make sure you have peace and unity with God. He is only a prayer away.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
