John 10:10 says ‘The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’
The enemy has a lot of tricks up his sleeve and not one of them is new but one of the most common things he can get you to do is shift your focus and distract you from your purpose. At every turn now, we are presented with opportunities to compare ourselves to others, focus only on our problems or what we don’t have in our lives and consume media that subtly tells us we’re not enough and more often than not, that leaves us feeling inadequate.
The Bible says that ‘no weapon formed against you shall prosper’. But what happens when that weapon is your own mind?
You combat those thoughts with the word of God.
What does he say about you? ‘You are fearfully and wonderfully made’ – Psalm 139:13
What does he say about your future? For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11
How does he tell you to overcome troubles?
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7
There is no area in your life that is beyond what God can do. He knows the desires of your heart and He’s already gone before you. We weren’t designed to carry the burdens that we take upon ourselves.
Spend time with God and ask Him to reveal things to you. He made us which means He knows us better than we know ourselves.
I guarantee that the more you fall in love with God and the life He gives to us through salvation, you wouldn’t dare dream of being anyone else.
You’re one of one. There is nobody else like you, God made sure of that.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
