Tough times don’t last – tough people do. I’m sure you’ve heard that saying before.
It is true. Tough times, difficulties, storms, will indeed pass. It’s during those times, that if YOU’RE strong, then you will remain steadfast.
Most Saturdays, you will find me on my knees cleaning our bathroom floor. Last week I thought to myself, “this hurts my knees!” . Maybe I’m getting older, maybe I forgot to put down a mat to kneel on.. either way, it hurt! I reminded myself, that if I wanted a great job done, hurt or not, then I needed to be on my knees to do a good job and get a great result.
I was reminded of prayer. It may not be always comfortable on your knees, you may not feel like it, you may not think you have time for it, you may feel that a ‘quick’ prayer will do. However, like my floor, if you want a good job accomplished sometimes you have to get on those knees, however it may hurt.
When you apply Godly principles to your life, whatever season you’re in, then when those tough times come, you will remain steadfast.
When you need to see a breakthrough in prayer.. push that little bit harder, get uncomfortable if you have to. Because it is in those times that something like gold will be produced in you.
Do you need to see some great results today? Do you need to outlast the storm? Get on your knees before God… He will meet you there.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
