Recently, at work, I’ve been working quite closely with a team of software developers. Our jobs are all so different but we’re working towards a common goal: to get a particular website up and running.
I’ll always find it fascinating to see how they make things work ‘at the back end’ or behind the scenes, to change what the users see at ‘the front end’, which is the part of the website that is on display for all the world to see.
Part of my job is to go on the ‘user journey’ and pre-empt the possible scenarios someone would come up against, whilst they’re using this website and try to solve them in advance.
It got me thinking about God’s word. It forms a part of the behind the scenes of our lives and how we apply it changes what plays out in our worlds.
The more our relationship with God develops, the more roadblocks we can come up against and more scenarios we find ourselves in. God knew what our ‘journey’ would entail and created solutions in scripture all throughout the Bible for us to draw on and overcome.
However you feel today, you’ll find encouragement in His word, if you’re just willing to look.
‘Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path’ | Psalm 119 v 105.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
