Hebrews 11:1 says, ‘The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see.’
Faith brings that which we hope for into our physical reality.
Faith is the conviction in our hearts that what God says is true and we can build our lives on it. It is not a feeling or mental state, it is a relational trust in the nature of God.
Faith is having spiritual eyes. It is looking beyond the physical and the natural realm, and seeing in the spirit realm. This means sometimes we act on what we see in the spirit. It means sometimes it doesn’t make sense in the natural, or others call us crazy. This is living by FAITH. We live according to an unseen realm.
2 Corinthians 4:18 says, ‘So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal’.
Not living by faith is slipping back into operating in the visible, literal realm rather than the kingdom reality available to us, and accessed by faith.
You are made to live by faith. Step out of the realm of your five senses and operate by faith (the unseen). Don’t be constrained by what you see and hear in the natural. There is more. We are called to pull from the unseen realm into the natural realm.
If you see someone sick, by faith, declare their unseen healing into the seen/physical realm. If a loved-one’s life is going down the wrong path in the natural, see them with spiritual eyes and call, by faith, the unseen purposes of God for their life from the spiritual realm, into the natural realm. This is what it means to be people of faith!
Even in disappointment, remain faithful to that which we may not physically see!
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
