I wrote a couple of weeks ago from the life of Daniel. About how he set himself apart to pray and seek God… even though setting yourself apart is not always easy, in fact it’s often a sacrifice – God will always bless you.
I love how no one else knew the answer, but Daniel (the Christian) did. The sorcerers, the wise men of the day, the magicians, the people with the supposed knowledge hadn’t got a clue, so Daniel said to his friends “come on, we are going to pray.”
Daniel 2 vs 17 & 18 “Daniel returned to his house and explained the matter to his friends…He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of Heaven, concerning the mystery.”
I’ve said it before and I will say it again… when you don’t know what to do, when you don’t have the answer, ask God, He will give the wisdom to those who ask. James 1 vs 5 “if anyone lacks wisdom, ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault.”
Right now, there are many people who are struggling for answers. Those who try to come up with some are even changing their minds days later. My friend, today if you have a relationship with the living God, then you have an advantage.
You can get yourself into the presence of an Almighty God and talk to Him!
As a parent, if your child came to you because they were confused and needed help and answers, what sort of parent would you be if you ignored them? How much more then does our God give wisdom to those who ask Him? How much more does God want to help those who earnestly seek Him?
The biggest cause of unanswered prayer, is un-prayed prayer. Today, take advantage of the beautiful thing that we have – being able to get into His presence and have a relationship with Him.
I have been asking God this week to speak to me about things. Guess what??!! He did. You only have to ask.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
