Fresh Hope – 10th December 2020

For every situation, thought or circumstance in life that could potentially pull us under, there is a ‘but God’, in His word. In fact there, there are plenty; I’ll start you off:

“I feel weary” – but God says “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭NIV‬‬).

“I’m worried about my future” – but God says “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” (Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11-12‬ ‭NIV).‬‬

“I feel like I’m fighting on my own” – but God’s word tells us…“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:6‬ ‭NIV). ‬‬

“I don’t know what to do” – but God’s word says “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬).

I hope you’re encouraged today. There is nothing in your life that is a surprise to God or that His word can’t help you to navigate.
