Making big decisions can often take a lot of courage… Why is that? Because we know that those decisions will affect our future and often the decisions that we have to make are hard.
If you want to be a champion, you have to make champion decisions.
Today, don’t let what is easy sway you from doing what you should be doing.
One of those decisions that we have to make, is who we allow on our journey with us.
Often we collect people along the way who may be there for a season, but long term, will not help us get to where we need to be going.
Listen to the words of one of the wisest men of all time…
Proverbs 13:20 ‘Keep company with the wise and you will become wise. If you make friends with stupid people, you will be ruined.’
I have had some good people in my life who were there for a season, but there has to come a day when you make a hard decision that says, ‘if I’m going to go for what God has for me, then this person can’t be a part of my journey anymore.’
Often God will naturally move people out of the way, but sometimes you have to make the decision to move them yourself.
You may have heard the old saying, ‘if you want to fly with the eagles, stop hanging around with the turkeys.’
Harsh… but true.
At the start of this year, allow God to remove some people FROM your life and then allow Him to add some great ones TO your life.
Be open to change & be courageous about your decisions.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
