I went to the cinema a few days ago with my two nephews to watch Kung Fu Panda 3. I thought it was a great film, and throughout the duration of it, I found myself taking several notes from statements that were made by various different characters.
In a heated battle between two talking animals, one said to the other, ‘The more you take, the less you’ll have.’ I thought to myself how God can use anything to speak to you!
The world that we live in wants to tell us that the state of how blessed we are is determined by how much we possess. However, the Bible makes it clear that you aren’t blessed based on how much you have but based on how much you give.
Acts 20:35 (NIV) ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
Can I encourage you at the outset of this day to change your perspective from focusing on what you can possess, to thinking about what you can release? Don’t be so consumed with what comes to you, but be more concerned about what comes through you.
Understand the way that God works. The more you give, the more you have. That’s the kind of life that I want to live and I hope you share that same desire today.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
