Whenever I travel from one country to another, I’m always faced with a predicament: What shall I wear? The reason being, the country that I’m leaving is currently cold, however, where I’m heading is going to be warm. So which climate do I dress for?
You know that same battle, as small as it may seem, is one that we’re all faced with daily. Do I dress for where I currently am or do I dress for where I want to be?
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
It’s evident here that God has a great future in store for you. You have to make the decision to allow Him to dress you for destiny.
You see, in life, you can arrive where you want to be, but not be the person you need to be.
I believe that the only way you can become who you were created to be is by having a relationship with the one who created you -God.
One of the key components in having a relationship with God is to give Him access all areas and allow Him to prepare you for what He has prepared for you.
Today, let me encourage you to submit your life to God, and say ‘make me the person I need to be in order for You to do what You want to do.’ And when you allow God to shape you and mould you, you will not only find yourself at the top of the mountain, but you’ll also realise that He’s given you the character to sustain you there.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
