In Luke chapter 8 we read that Jesus instructed His disciples to take a boat journey.
Please note that HE took them that way and it was straight into a storm.
Sometimes God leads us that way.
We may not think God can possibly be with us during those times and although He isn’t the author of bad things, He can often allow us to go through them.
He knows what is going to happen. He’s the author of my faith. He wrote my life. He leads me…”Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, You are with me.” (Psalm 23)
Here’s three things to remember
1. The presence of problems, doesn’t mean the absence of God.
2. God can lead you into a difficult time. He’s trusting you with it. They were in the boat probably thinking Jesus was testing them. No, He was trusting them. Whenever God leads us into something, He’s obviously trusting you with that situation. Watch your attitude, your heart, your speech, your actions, watch your serve.
The disciples were in the boat with Jesus and there was a storm. He was asleep and they got scared. They didn’t think about Him.
They said “WE are going to drown.”
3. Sometimes when things aren’t good we can forget about Jesus. We can be so consumed with ourselves and our worries and with the situation and the outcome that we forget WHO is actually in the boat with us.
Today remember, He is with you, He’s watching you and He wants to help you.
A daily devotion for a better way of living.
